Winnipeg singer-songwriter Cassidy Mann has been writing for as long as she can remember, and at the age of eighteen, her lyrics are heartfelt and honest, telling tales of young love and lessons learnt. Her songs are reminiscent to those of Ingrid Michaelson and Taylor Swift; lead by hooky vocal melodies, a strong voice and a tinge of nostalgia.
Fresh off the release of her second EP, the WCMA nominated Blue Skies and Bright Eyes, Mann has showcased at JUNOfest 2014 and performed at this year’s Winnipeg Folk Festival. Her music has been featured on CBC and local stations UMFM, Hot103 and NCI FM, with the single “Don’t Give Up On Me” reaching the number one spot on Canada’s National Aboriginal Music Countdown. An artist on this rise, Mann is surely one to keep an eye on.
