Just realized it’s November 30th (where did the month go???) and I’ve yet to send out this month’s RAS Report. So here’s a quickie for you, and something to read on this lovely snowy Friday morning. Cheers!

CLIENT NEWS

Tis the season for Amero Little Christmas, a fun and festive holiday show featuring Don Amero and Red Moon Road. They perform December 14 at the West End Cultural Centre in Winnipeg, with additional shows in Brandon, Virden, Dauphin, Neepawa, Kenora, and St-Pierre-Jolys. Partial proceeds from the tour are going to Canadianfeedthechildren.ca. Visit www.donamero.com/shows for dates and info.

Speaking of Don Amero… he released his new CD Heart On My Sleeve at a live online house concert last month. You can still watch all or part of the entire 90-minute concert, and his brand new music video, at www.aptn.ca/webstagepass. A huge THANK YOU goes out to APTN for all of their support.

Mad Ship is receiving its world premiere at the Whistler Film Festival this weekend. Named one of the ‘top 5 must see films’ at the festival, this beautiful feature tells the story of a Norwegian immigrant driven to madness by ruined dreams and the tragic death of his wife. Watch for its theatrical release in 2013! www.facebook.com/madshipmovie

Dauphin’s Countryfest sold out of weekend passes in record time this year (less than 12 hours!) as well as day passes for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. With an exciting line-up featuring Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, and Luke Bryan, it’s no wonder it’s the hottest ticket in town. Canada’s longest running music festival takes place June 27-30, 2013. www.countryfest.ca.

Cweedband.com Ltd. and HMV Music recently announced the opening of an ‘Aboriginal Music Rack’ at the HMV music outlet at Portage Place Mall in Winnipeg. The rack features all genres of music, from country, gospel, rock, roots, pop, rap, and hip‐hop, to Pow Wow music, Métis fiddle, and traditional.

RoseAnna Schick of RAS Creative is proud to be penning a travel column for Winnipeg’s Canstar newspapers. The column is called Travelations and here is the latest one: Exploring Christmas in Warmer Climates.

Recent travel-writing trips included a visit to Arizona, with stays in Phoenix (www.visitphoenix.com) and Mesa (www.visitmesa.com) – two amazing places! RoseAnna now completely understands the lure of wintering in these locales, and has set a new goal of being a ‘snowbird’ someday.

PROCRASTINATION TIP-OF-THE-MONTH

It’s almost December, which means you only have one more month to complete that New Year’s resolution for 2012. But if you still don’t have time to do it, don’t worry. Just put it off for one more month, make it a ‘new’ resolution for 2013, and suddenly you have an entire year to get it done. And now that the pressure’s off (how easy was that???) go ahead and enjoy the rest of this year guilt-free and with extra time on your hands. You deserve it!
