Manitoba Music is looking for a personable, flexible, detail-oriented multi-tasker to join our team as Office Administrator.

PURPOSE
Reporting to the Executive Director and Association and Communications Manager, the Office Administrator is responsible for providing administrative, financial, and clerical services and support in order to ensure effective and efficient operations.

Manitoba Music (formerly MARIA) is a member-based, not-for-profit industry association representing over 700 members in all facets of the music industry. Through our programs and services, we provide information, education, communication, advocacy, industry development, and networking opportunities to nurture, develop and promote the growth and sustainability of the Manitoba music industry. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Financial and bookkeeping, including: reporting, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and cheque preparation
• Preparing program materials such as printing and collating of contracts, course materials, marketing materials
• Assisting with marketing initiatives, member services, and research requirements on an as-needed basis
• Preparing facilities for meetings, workshops and other events
• Recording and distributing minutes, notes and action items during meetings
• Maintaining association's databases
• Providing administrative support to management and other staff
• Preparing correspondence and reports
• Assisting in preparation of funding applications and reporting
• Reception and office administration duties

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, and working knowledge of office procedures
• Self-motivated with proven ability to efficiently manage multiple projects
• Works well under pressure, good problem-solving skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point), and accounting software (Quickbooks an asset)
• Proficiency with office equipment (copier, printer, fax, phone systems)
• The ability to work flexible hours on occasion
• Demonstrated success at working in a flexible, dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Some administrative and accounting experience is required, formal accounting education is preferred

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
• The salary range is $20,000 - $25,000 per annum and will be determined by the Executive Director and Hiring Committee commensurate with qualifications and skills.
• This is a full-time position with benefits (after three months of employment).
• Hours of work are 9–5pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend and evening work required.
• The initial three months will be probationary.
