Now Taking Submissions for a Toronto Music Industry Showcase

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 4pm, Thursday, August 9, 2012

Manitoba Music is presenting a showcase of Manitoba artists in Toronto the week of November 19, 2012. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase for the Toronto-based music industry.

Toronto is home to some of North America’s most important music industry professionals and this showcase will target agents, labels, publishers, music supervisors, program directors and more. Manitoba Music will work directly with each selected artist to identify members of industry who they are interested in inviting.

To be considered for a showcase, you must:

  • Have a current or upcoming release (demo / EP / full-length)
  • Be export-ready (able to capitalize on opportunities in Canada and internationally)
  • Have financial capacity to undertake travel to and accommodations in Toronto (Market Access Program Support is available, but will not cover full costs)
  • Be available to showcase in Toronto the week of Nov. 19, 2012 (date to be confirmed)
  • Be a Manitoba Music member

Submit the following by email to showcases@manitobamusic.com:

  • “Toronto Showcase” in the subject line
  • A link to your manitobamusic.com profile page (ensure updated current music, bio, etc.)
  • A rationale for how this showcase fits your career development plan
  • Current high resolution image (300 dpi) or link to where one can be downloaded
  • Short artist bio (approximately 200 words)

Submissions will be evaluated based on:

  • Music
  • Track record
  • Strength of team
  • Export readiness
  • Rationale for the showcase
