FACTOR funded Aboriginal artists and industry

11 Aboriginal artists, two Aboriginal organizations, and one Aboriginal-owned business have accessed support from the Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings (FACTOR) in the past nine months. A total of $260,097.70 has been invested in live performance, demos, business travel, business development, industry events, and recordings by the Aboriginal music community in Canada.

Manitoba-based artists Tanya Tagaq and Federal Lights received support for Live Performance, while the Manito Ahbee Festival accessed funding for the Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards.
