William Prince at the AMP Sessions shoot at Bedside Studios

Our AMP Sessions video series is back this week with a new one from William Prince, produced and directed by Chris Gaudry. Prince is storytelling singer/songwriter from Peguis First Nation who sidesteps clichés to provoke thought and facilitate discovery. His baritone vocals pay tribute to his late father and his genuine delivery acknowledges the hundreds of hours he's spent on stage. Prince's debut album, produced by long time collaborator Scott Nolan, is set for a November release and the lead single "The Carny" can be purchased on iTunes after September 15.

AMP Sessions is a series of live performance videos presented by Manitoba Music featuring new music from First Nation, Métis, and Inuit recording artists from Manitoba, filmed at Winnipeg's Bedside Studios. Stay tuned for more videos in coming weeks from Dee Erin Band, Ali Fontaine, and Chuck Copenace at aboriginalmusic.ca/videos.
