Manitoba Music Welcomes New Professional Development Coordinator, David Landreth

Manitoba Music is pleased to welcome its newest staff member, David Landreth, in the role of professional development coordinator. 

"David comes with an immense volume of music business experience on a local and international level. His practical knowledge, connection to our community, and natural ability to translate the challenges of our industry into real world training will be a great value to Manitoba’s music industry. We're excited to welcome him to the team," says Sean McManus, executive director of Manitoba Music.

A longtime member of Manitoba’s music scene, David brings to the position over a decade of experience as a DIY artist, including tour managing and playing with acts such as Imaginary Cities and Romi Mayes. Most recently, David has been a band member and songwriter for the JUNO Award-winning outfit The Bros. Landreth. 

"I’m excited to join the team and help our artists and entrepreneurs learn, share, and develop their careers," says Landreth. “I love absolutely everything about making and promoting music and I look forward connecting with our diverse and exciting community.”

Manitoba Music's Professional Development Program provides industry knowledge and skills development for emerging and established artists and music industry professionals. Manitoba Music teams up with music industry experts to provide informative professional development seminars for the music industry. The program is a leading source of information and training for musicians and music industry in Manitoba. In addition, Manitoba Music maintains a Music Industry Resource Centre and offers career consultations for members.
